The Brain and Mind Centre’s Accelerating Services, Equipment and Operations (ASEO) Fund is an annual program that supports total or partial cost of capital equipment and/or operational expenses to support research activity.

Sydney Nano Catalyst Scheme 2025

The fundamental objective of the Sydney Nano Catalyst scheme is to support non-STEM researchers to make an impact in their research area whilst engaging with the Sydney Nano Strategy 2024-2028.The scheme’s primary goal is to aim for external non-traditional Critical and Emerging Technologies funding opportunities. Ideally the non-STEM research project will be enhanced through fostering and leading multi-disciplinary collaborations with STEM researchers, who are other Sydney Nano members.

CUHK Ignition Grants 2025

The University of Sydney (USyd) and the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) Ignition Grants have been established to facilitate joint initiatives that align with the two universities’ strategic priorities and develop multi-disciplinary innovative research that creates academic and societal impact. In this round, up to five proposals related to “Climate. Environment, Health and Sustainability” will be funded. Each successful proposal may receive up to the equivalent of AUD $20,000 from USyd and HK$110,000 from CUHK for a total up to the equivalent of AUD $40,000 (approx. HK$ 220,000 subject to exchange rate).
